Santa Barbara Riviera Primary Bath Remodel
A thoughtful reconfiguration of a Primary Bath in a 1939 Santa Barbara Riviera cottage with sweeping ocean views. We re-worked the layout of the space so that the bathroom door could be located directly within the primary suite instead of the hallway, relocated the vanity and lifted it up off the floor with wall faucets to create visual widening and maximize the space. We chose a floating toilet with an in-wall tank to minimize and lift off the floor. We replaced the old small slat window with a new larger casement window allowing light to flood in, and hung ceiling-mount mirrors in front of the window. This was the only way to get all the bells and whistles and maximize space for a husband and wife dual use and it worked out very well! We changed the door to a pocket door and finished the room with a gorgeous water-proof plaster with concealed medicine cabinets. Knotty natural plain-sliced Oak millwork with integrated pulls, natural stone and alabaster accent lighting embody a serene and inviting aesthetic. Check out before photos here!
